I'm surprised it's only 2
Doesn't sound nearly enough
Can you just............................?
If you're talking about the amount of time my 12 year old spends consuming BBC content then that's probably about right. If you factor in her other web, IM and email use then it's a lot more.
When they say "visited" for the <13 yr olds, I wonder if they mean these kiddies were signing in with their Facebook accounts, or just looking at Facebook-hosted pages. If it's the former then it's a bit worrying seeing as the minimum age for Facebook is supposedly 13, (http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=13455).Perhaps given the proliferation of social networking sites and the time adults spend on them, the survey also apparently found that a third of 7-10 year olds visited Facebook in the week the survey was conducted, with the percentage rising to 71 percent for 11 and 12 year olds and 85 percent for 13-16 year olds
I just wish there were more parental control features in routers - I've been looking around recently and haven't found one with a decent feature set. Got to the point where I'm thinking of building a Linux-based router just so I can get access to those features.
2 and a hour hours? xDsupplementing the average of 2 and a hour hours of TV they watch
I think people shouldn't frown about this but rather provide a secure place for kids while online - with current immersion of population into electronics I would think this figure will rise every year almost in direct correlation to electronic progress itself.
It's up to the parent to make sure there is enough physical exercise and health isn't at risk but when it comes to me having kids and if similar stuff to recent google galleries app keeps coming out - good for the kids rather that then brainless cartoons.
