Is it even possible to spend £25 charging a mobile phone? I don't see how this could pay for itself, let alone save anyone money. I suppose it's useful to charge your phone while you're away from a socket but as a 'green' item it's complete marketing BS. More energy will have gone into production and transport than it will ever save. Charging a mobile phone uses so little energy it's just not worth worrying about alternative ways to do it.
Solar powered charger = ~£10.
Requires no pedalling, but could be attached tot he same bike. No moving parts also means nothing is going to wear out, or break.
Great until it rains...which in England...happens a lot!
