Re: News - Enermax shows off 80 PLUS Platinum PSU

Anyone know who makes Enermax PSUs?

I'd be really interested to see gold/platinum 400-500W PSUs. If you have a mid range PC (i.e. only one GPU) you would struggle to get past 300W even in games but PSUs are most efficient at around 50% capacity.

Enermax. Older models may be CWT or sirtec.

Just a small point - the article refers to the PSU as "EEX" on three occasions, but in the picture it has the letters "EXX" plastered all over the side of it. Oops?

Exactly what I was going to say!

+1 I've measured my beastliest machine at the wall using 200-300W at the absolute most when pushed hard, and that's probably lower for a new machine with mid range hardware (I'm thinking i5, GTX 560 ish).
