    Found that single slot coolers for the these mid range cards have always not cut the mustard - so to speak.

    Cards get very hot and the heat disposed into the case is alot.

    What's impressive here is that PowerColor doesn't meddle with the base frequencies of 775MHz core and 4,000MHz memory for this 127W TDP board
    Not that impressive - there were quite a few variants of the 8800GT (125W) in single-slot form. I had a couple myself.

    This, however, is true. Probably less of a concern now than with previous generations because it'll only be pumping out lots of heat under use - comparatively next to nothing in Windows.

    I have a shuttle based rig so a single slot card is a must for me. Allways a trade off.
