Re: News - Further Llano APU details emerge

there were intriguing reports back in the day that llano would have up to 480 shaders, a rumour now revitalised by a 'news' report last week from semi accurate i think.

i'd love to know whether its 400 or 480 shaders.............?

Well, as per as my knowledge,I think the 480 shaders are for the Notebook "Sabine" platform,as AMD has categorically mentioned previously...
The 480 shaders of AMD Radeon will be present in the Llano APU series of notebooks/laptops.

surely it is the same die tho...........?

i can understand disabling one of the six shader clusters for the desktop part in order that the TDP can redirected towards CPU performance on the premise that add-in graphics cards can make good any percieved deficit.

i would love for the mobile part to have 480 shaders.............
