Cool As long as it doesnt mean an end to other companies making android handsets that is
Probably has more to do with this: http://mobile-device.biz/content/item.php?item=31257
Supercharged android phones sound good to me hehe
I wonder if now the next 'Google' phones will be made by Motorola now; Google Nexus M anyone?
*checks date*
*scratches head*
*wonders if he should have gone for the Defy after all*
EDIT: and as to what snootjim said: $4.5B for patents; + $7.5B market cap = $13B. Looks like Google might actually have netted themselves a bargain...?
Might be worth flogging my Galaxy 10.1 and get a Xoom as should get updates quicker
They come from the dark and slice your head off
This is very good news for Google and Motorola... not such good news for HTC and other manufactures that like Android.
No doubt as time goes on, Google will concentrate more on their own handsets and software updates than other manufactures. The bar will be set high once Google/Motorola get rolling, other manufactures will have to make sure their software support is on the heels of Google..... - bye bye Sony
The biggest looser will by HTC, as they have enjoyed much attention from Google, but as time goes by this relationship will change.
Wow, someone was feeling flush....

Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
me thinks that with google first picking up a load of silicon patents from IBM and now it has the moto patents. i think that google is preparing for full on war with apple and Microsoft
