Not sure whether to go with my one-word response of "Good" or my two-word response: "About time".

So what happens if two or more OEMs are being sued for the same issue and only one has acquired the relevant patent from Google? Are we going to see time-shares in the patent system?
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

No you'll probably see a retrospective licencing agreements put in place for the use, protection etc of relevant patents.

This could go very badly for Apple as if multiple OEM's are granted the licence by Google you could end up with multiple parties attacking Apple for multiple patents with an end result that no phones/tablets etc are able to be sold. They might all start coming to their senses at this point and realise that these type of squabbles are just hurting consumers and their bottom line.

Re: News - The Android proxy war enters a new phase

Just bought myself the Samsung Galaxy S2. I mainly avoided Apple products because of their aggressive stance in these recent litigations (although this is by no means a safe position to argue from, they're all as bad as each other, it seems!). By a similar token, my Mrs is talking of getting a tab, and I've persuaded her not to by the iPad2; again, mainly because of Apple's litigation. Well, that and the Toshiba Thrive has full-sized USB ports and SD card slots, and a changeable battery pack, which I reckon are probably more important for her specific intended use of it (can't see the attraction of tablets myself, but whatever floats yer boat!).

They all need their heads banging together, though. These constant petty squabbles are only damaging their reputation (all companies here, not just Apple).

Seems to me that the others are merely acting in self-defence.

Some of these patents Apple are aggressively perusing are ludicrous IMO
