i am seriously positive that android tech will destroy iphone. the iphones are a nightmare to develop apps. many things are hidden and cant be accessed easily such has contacts and media stuff which can be very useful in apps whilst android is completely open source and carry hardly any restriction whatsoever plus you got google behind the thing which is a good thing nowadays right?

from a developers point of view, the android is much more appealing then the iphone/ objective C language

Android also has an advantage over Windows Mobile (also easy to develop for) from a manufacturer point of view as it is free

I just hope they do something with the horrible "blue sky" interface of the current handsets.

I certainly will look at Android tail end of this year when my iphone contract is up for renewal and see what is about.

If android can offer me what my iphone does then I might make the swap

Re: News - Samsung rolls out Google Android handset

After fiddling with the g1 for a while, the android is definitely a good os, its smooth and fast. However its not as refined or polished as the iphone os. However I feel it wont be very long before it catches up and with it being open source, there are potentially so many things that can be done with it.
