Not for me, already on SB and SBE, I think it is definitely worth a look for anyone still on first gen or core2.
cheers

Hmm on an I5 760... Worth an upgrade? Not sure, perhaps i'll wait till the tock. Not too much of a big improvement over sandy - not sure if ill notice much performance gain over what i've got... Any suggestions or comments?
Hmmm - Very tempted too. My Q6700 is really starting to feel a little old and the GPU less 3570L (2550K?) looks good. Unfortunately I'm in the process of selling my house and getting married in October so no idea if'll have the funds or not. If the house sells quickly maybe I can persuade the other half its a sensible spend.....
I'm waiting to upgrade, so depends on the price as I'm waiting for the 2500k to drop to bargain level.

2nd computer gigabyte P965ds3p, 7770 E2140@2.9ghz, corsair HX520 6 years stable, replaced now with E8400@3.9ghz and will overclock more when I'm bored.
Nope, will not. Have i5 2400 and see no reason to upgrade, have other priorities in life. Only thing am missing is NVidia GT 630 for my low profile PC.
I am planning on doing an upgrade around August so I might get one. If Sandy bridge drops in price I'll probably be getting that instead with it's better overclocking ability.
That is only if Piledriver is as underwhelming as Bulldozer was though.
I'm afraid not my current upgrade plans involve 2011 socket, so i'll be sticking with SB-E until they bring out IV-E...
Nope. A 2500K is absolutely fine. Seems biggest reason for IB is the IGP and what good is that on a desktop?
Read some scaremongering about Intel Insider and need to hear some other opinions.
Nope, my i7 930'll last me another couple of years yet.
I've got a i7 920 @ 3.9 - still does everything quick enough even with all settings maxxed.
Only one going to say this , but given the high performance of AMD Trinity A10-4600, I am very curious to see what Trinity Piledriver can do.
on a Q9550, with PCI-E 1.0, so i'll be going ivy (3570K OC to perhaps 4.3/4.4), so I don't have to upgrade again to take advantage of nvidia GTX7XX's in 2013/4, I want this platform to last till 2016 unless something truly out of this world comes along.
I'm tempted if reviews of CPU coolers post favourable results at the 4.5GHz range. Hoping the Be Quiet Dark Rock 2 can produce the goods. I am also waiting for the GFX cards to stabilise in price. I'm looking at a 7970 but waiting to see what happens when availability is matured and what Nvidia bring to the table in the 7950 space.
