possibly releasing a product that people are interested in without having to buy yet another memory card format etc. might have been a good idea
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
i hope they go all out on the PR and marketing, because no one apart from PS Fanboys know about it. Like for example i was speaking with my cousins their around 16-18yrs and they play games and when i mentioned that I had one. They didn't realize sony had launched a new hand-held, not only that they thought it was a PSP i was like smh. If my cousins think the vita is a PSP what will others think.
Sony in general need to step up and promote their electronic devices. Word of mouth can only go so far, theirs no excuse promote your stuff Sony sort it out or no one will know how great your products are.
I've been looking forward to the Vita ever since it was announced a while back, but what has stopped me from actually buying it is the lack of games on it, it needs a flagship game, a game that people would buy the device just to play it. For example, the only reason I bought a DS was because of The World Ends With You, and the Pokemon games, the only reason I bought a PSP was for Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and Dissidia. Apart from the release titles (None of which were outstanding), I honestly have not seen any new games on the Vita.
I'm one of those 2.2million...
The hardware is nice, good weight, great screen, sits in hands nicely. The memory stick format thing is a slight pain, but not a deal breaker. The games are a different story, most are utter pants looking or the demos just didn't impress and so far I've been limited to Rayman a few others... I've not used it anywhere near as much as my DS Lite when I got that.
