Interesting, thanks Hexus.
I know it's pretty obvious in each graph which is 1080p or 1600p, but the colours in the key of each graph are pretty meaningless!
I wish I had bought a 7970 now. V. well done AMD!

Like the man said. This changes the game completely for me.
WTH were the previous drivers all about ?
Also "Still, the GPU Boosting GeForce GTX 680 just about manages to keep the Radeon at bay."
Errrm whut ?
The 680 shows scores of P9629 and E3298
The 7970 shows scores of P9715 and E3259
This would show the cards at parity (at the very least) surely ?

Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.

Ummm wow, it's amazing how much changes in 10 months.
These cards are totally different both in terms of performance and value compared to when they were launched.
I'm going to have to play some BF3 tonight
I wonder if AMD dropping the monthly driver updates has meant that the engineers could actually spend some time optimising the software rather than chasing their tails during a release cycle?
sweet, guess I made the right choice going for the HD7970! thanks for the comparison Hexus

Worse at Starcraft II? Boooooo!
Actually they've patched that since and I was being tongue in cheek anyway.
well, seems like my plan to save up for a new card is paying off, any idea when this promotion will end?
Actually I know these are labelled as November, but do we know when they'll be available ?
