Yes how "generous" of them.
Yep I'll pass as well
I refuse to install EA malware so will be skipping this. Would of been brilliant if it was offered as a stand-alone installation.
As I already have Origin it's a no brainer! Thanks
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
thanks HEXUS. downloaded origin, found out i alreaddy had an account, found 3 other games on it that were also free that i'd forgotten i had.
just need to remember to download them this time.
and a free game is a free game, quit whining
I'm going to give it a go tommorow
I hope DC mod servers are still around!
Oh brings back memories of that great theme tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHUBE...feature=colike
Hope there's a widescreen patch, original only went up to 1600x1200 IIRC...
Quick google: http://www.widescreengaming.net/wiki/Battlefield_1942
Will try it out l8r.
Won't be letting Origin anywhere near my PC, so no thanks!
I quite liked CoD2, (still fire it up occasionally), which I'm guessing of similar "vintage" to BF1942 - so my question is this ... is BF1942 worth the "trouble" of downloading (I already have the Origin client) for someone who's not much bothered for online play?
I really like the price, but I'll begrudge the disk space expense if the game's just relying on people's rose-tinted nostalgia.

I don't have a problem with ORIGIN or Steam. Maybe I'm apathetic. I don't really consider them to be invading my privacy or doing anything to justify calling ORIGIN malware (and thus, maybe I'm about to start a flame war! )
You know what really bugs me though? I've been doing searches on google this last week on 27" monitors and monitor stands. Sent a couple of emails to my friends on the same subject matter too. So guess what the ad-bar in hotmail has started advertising to me? THAT is the kind of thing that I consider to be an invasion of my privacy!
Personally, I think it's pretty cool of them to release a classic game, that they could have easily boxed up in some '10-year anniversary special edition' and sold for 19.99, for free.
