It's a reference 670 with a cooler to match. Hardly much work on the part of Asus to get this up and running, I see no need for a price premium, 670's are already overpriced for what they are.

its a lot shorter, the circuit board has been redesigned by ASUS to fit in small cases

I'd hazard a guess that its a very similar length to a 650ti, looks really neat and tidy

It's not shorter, it's the same size as reference. See the link that raven1001 posted.

Personally, I would prefer to see more single slot cards. Especially on the low-end GPUs (why on earth are most 7750s dual slot??!!!)

I can't see the point of this really. Most ITX cases which accept full-height cards are the 'shoe-box' variety, which tend to cater for full length cards anyway. It'd be more interesting if it were single-slot as cheesyboy mentions, or even half-height...

I kinda agree but i still see a market for it as it does free up a lot of space.

The actual PCB is about the same length as a reference 670, as shown in the link posted by raven1001 above. It's just that the reference card has a 'blower' style fan bolted on the end, which extends the length.

I stand corrected! Sorry I should have read it properly. I think I assumed I knew what I was on the about because my 660ti is longer.

They have managed to get down to a single 8 pin connector though.

one 8-pin connector carries the same current as two six-pin, so that's not actually an amazing feat OTOH, it does indicate that they've done some work with the card, and it makes sense in a small case, as it's less wires to clutter up the airflow. Doing some comparisons of the back of the stock card with this one, they've tweaked a few things here and there, but overall it does appear to be pretty much the same size as the stock PCB, so they've not had a huge amount to do.

I'd agree that the number of unnecessarily double-height coolers is distressing though. I guess it comes down to people thinking a two-slot cooler gives a sense of quality and makes the card look more impressive - for a fair while now the only cards with single slot coolers were considered sub-par. The 7750 can be cooled with a single slot low profile cooler - I know, I've got one that is But slap a big old double-slot cooler on it and it suddenly looks like a much more powerful card than it is. Marketing at its worst...

The PCB is the same length but its not a reference PCB (8 pin power ect.) and the cooler is far from reference. Custom PCB and a mini vapor chamber cooler... i like it.

It will be interesting to see how efficient the cooler is compared to the full-length DirectCU 670, which is what I have. Somehow I doubt it will be anything like as good, although I suppose overclocking ITX systems (where the card is most likely to find a home) isn't all that common?

Yeah, it's not shorter, but Asus change the fan desing not "blower" like reference.
