I understand this, but currently I think where Samsung excels is managing to get roughly the right mix of hardware out at the right price point. They're not always the best hardware, but overall manage to be the best mix. If Apple can pull of a decent mix at the right price they may be onto a winner, but I'm guessing they'll probably be inferior to Android at the same price points hardware wise
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
Someone needs to take this approach, i have the slight urge to change my phone but at the moment, no-one makes a phone with really desirable features thats less than 4.5". If apple come out with a load of equally specified phoned with different screen sizes, i think they will definitely be on to a winner and i hope the other companies follow!
It does tickle me a bit that despite the whole "we will destroy android" mantra that Mr. Jobs set out, they are now bit by bit copying it across into their own eco system.
If you can't beat them join them ... or so they say.
On a more serious note isn't it about time they brought the iphone's branding in line with that of the ipad and just call it the new 2013 iphone, avaliable in medium, large and extra large (like you get in coffee chains where small doesn't exist you just get normal, large, larger, getting stupidly large now, seriously if you drink this much coffee you will bounce off the wall size)
i thought apple was keeping a specific size so only one hand was needed to operate the phone. all the back buttons on most apps are located in the top left. with a bigger size screen this could make it difficult ... or they'll just make it taller
Post-Jobs Apple sucks, even more than usual.
They're constantly going back on their words with their new devices and now the upgrade cycles have become so marginal that it's not even worth buying the latest iDevice.
But that's just my opinion...
Bit disappointed in the 5 so far... Now if they get the right physical size, right resolution and the right price point and keep the excellent cameras then it will be good news.
