    they'll be announcing teleportation next... Not sure I want to eat a pizza based on algae and insects though. Sounds too much like the local ecoli-cafe for my liking.

    Tea. Earl grey hot. Interesting idea, but the replicator that does ben & jerry's ice cream gets my vote. Pizza is a good start though.

    Making foodstuffs out of base materials is the holy grail of diet, really. Not least because of implications with world hunger but more importantly, having the ability to nip down to the shops once a year and come back with a few kilos of 'gunk' which you can use for all your cooking requirements!
    I'm not sure how closely this relates to that though..

    How epic would it be to have one of these food replicators at your desk in work. We all know that feeling at around 3PM when your belly is rumbling slightly and you're craving food. Next minute, you have a full three course meal at your desk.
