Sounds like a good competitor to Dell's P2815Q (probably using the same panel). Let the UHD price-war commence!
we still dont have proper 27 2560 ips screens, but w/e lets skip them
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
The point about 2560 wide displays is they were always very expensive, even the cheaper 27" models from decent brands like dell come to £600, now suddenly UHD displays are at that price point, we just totally skipped 2560 wide £300 displays. Ah well no complaints from me, I might well pick up that display with Android as a replacement for my 27" 2560x1440, I'm a fan of being able to use a monitor without a computer being turned on.

Except hardly anyone knew of them (no-name brands, no advertising) and good luck RMAing one. I bought one of those korean monitors and it's simply missing features and build quality that you'd get with a western brand like for instance a power button that's built to last, a case that hasn't been repurposed (it looks like I have an IR receiver but there's nothing behind it), some form of quality control for things like connectors lining up with holes and for that matter being there (HDMI 2 where did you go, there's only a hole left now), ooh and controller features like autoselect, or a spdif port that provides quality audio (not sure how that went wrong). I could go on but the point is that for £300 you could get a monitor of questionable quality or for £600 you could get a reliable one, I'm pretty sure the extra quality doesn't double the price so that situation was extremely weird.
At least now UHD pricing seems to be making sense, I'd be willing to bet we'll see $500 monitors by next year.
We want OLEEEEEEEEED. Stop throwing LCD displays on the market.
OLED technology gives true blacks, life like colours, very thin construction and very low power consumption. Business is business, ok.
yes we have few 27 models with triple 5x price of normal models... that doesnt count as proper in my book, but if it does in yours more power to you
