The game still isn't working properly, I guess its still EA policy to make money first worry about the rest later.

Lost interest in BF4, it seems to me its trying to be like COD.
BF4 is the first battlefield I haven't bought in ages. I got so annoyed with the continual demand for money via dlc and annoyed with myself for still wanting to buy it.
Bring back the old days when you only paid for a game once and the community built maps. If the community was active more people bought the game, the developer got more money (obviously less than the current model of bleeding everyone dry).
How stable/ buggy is everyone finding BF4 now on the pc?
I don't buy any games when they first come out any more. I usually wait until they're in the Steam sale or similar, often for about £5 or less. It has the added advantage that being an older game, my mid-range graphics card can play it quite nicely too So I've got another 6 months or so before I'll even look at buying BF4...maybe by then they'll have ironed out the bugs. Or not.
I've been doing that a lot recently.
My only worry about doing this, is that by the time the game has achieved stability and a suitable price, well then there won't be many playing on-line. Or maybe those that are still on-line will have achieved all the decent weapons so that when we start with our peashooters the game will be useless.
What doesn't work, there are balance issues still, but I haven't had significant gameplay problems since more or less the first patch, punkbuster at server 11/12 notwithstanding. A lot of the hype is spouted by people that don't understand the game. I get a lot of killed through wall hacker/netcode grief as I'm a big fan of the xm25, which is basically designed to kill round corners.
The last full map pack/ skin I can remember was COD4 MW Star Wars mod by BlackMonkeys but yeah you're right a long time ago now. That was 2010 I think. If I remember right there was also a paintball mod with maps too.
Glad to hear that BF4 is settling down too. Anyone got any idea how much the dlc will sell for ?

I just spotted this on Battlelog, so that's official now, Premium license holders will get the update on the 18th and no doubt that will be followed by loads of posts from non-Premium players complaining about how they haven't got it, so I guess I'll just have to avoid the forums while I play Operation Metro, Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman, and Operation Firestorm.
