Nothing new really can already buy drives of this size /speed etc cheaper elseware so don't really see the point
£96.29 on scan for the 256gb drive..... would spend a little extra for a lot more performance
I think it's time to upgrade my OCZ Agility 3 boot drive ( I know! Taking my life into my own hands ) to something a little more 2014! It has served me well though, and it still remains relatively nippy compared to all my friends hard drive powered machines.

failure rate of ssd from a web site don't see the point of this drive as ive said its offering nothing new for price
Same here - both my PC's are Samsung SSD'd (830 on the laptop I'm using to type this, 840EVO's on the gaming PC), so I'd be very interested in their failure rate.
Maybe these new Force's will put more pressure on pricing - which has to be good thing. That said, I'm still waiting for the affordable 1TB drives - £350-400 is too much for me at the moment.
Nice prices...but i really don't want a snot green colour trim in my orange & black co-ordinated case.
..in fact one of the most awkward bits of a PC to colour co-ordinate is the SSD drive (if you have a case with them on show of course)
Either your price estimates are wrong, or the two people publically listing these (Scan and OCUK) are way overcharging for them
Odd one by the looks of things. I would either go for a cheaper Crucial M500 at £78 or spend a little more on a Samsung... well I would spend a little more, but a Samsung EVO Basic on Amazon is actually waaay cheaper than these things. SO I guess I wouldn't buy one of these "budget friendly" SSDs at all.
If I would have to go for a cheap SSD, I'd go for a Sandisk Ultra Plus, rather than the Force LX.
They're cheaper (at least in Germany), faster (not by much), readily available and use a Marvell 88SS9175 Controller, which is very similar to the Marvell 88SS9174 used in the good old Crucial M4.
Not to mention I'd trust a Marvell controller based SSD much more than any of the cheap cr*p like SMI/Silicon Motion, JMicron, Sandforce, Phison and Indilinx (is Indilinx even still around..? or dead like OCZ finally?)
Yep, i agree, the Sandisk Ultra plus ssd is pretty good and I have it installed on another system and it is much cheaper than the other brands.
