PC with the most likely protrusion to get broken off?

Again with the hdmi plug, I want a socket. I have cables, they plug into sockets. Please someone get this concept, I would be interested in getting these for the kids to do their homework on in their rooms (and it could probably run Minecraft for them as well) but it needs to be able to take some knocks

Wouldn't a simple HDMI extension cable do the job?

I know some of them are coming with HDMI extension cables (like the Chromecast does).

I'm loving the idea of these and they are coming in at a great price point. I want to see some testing on them, what basic games can it play, does it overheat, etc etc etc.

Would be interesting in steamboxing one of them and playing with streaming

Needs testing as an HTPC. personally I would prefer wired ethernet connection - but a simple USB/ethernet dongle can do that.

I can't see it being capable of running anything but the simplest of games. It'd be more promising as a HTPC though IMHO...

I'm in the same boat, couple of these for the various "dumb" screens around the house would be great. But I'd prefer a cheaper "no-OS" version so I can bang a decent linux distro on there instead.

Agreed but got plenty of those but was thinking more for the steam streaming where gaming machine is doing the work. I know its still a bit meh but it works for some stuff

Ah...I haven't tried that sort of streaming. Does latency make fast action games difficult, though?

Chuck the PC in a bag with some lego and a book, I just don't see that plug surviving. You can't snap off a socket

I have a Windows tablet with that exact processor and just 1GB RAM. It can run csgo at a barely playable 30fps. I can run many games just fine. CSGO did take a lot of work to optimize it enough though including a load of commands

Not possible, HDMI doesn't do that AFAIK, but a lot of these kind of thing can use USB ports on TVs if they supply the full rated current.

I tend to not be much impressed by new tech nowadays, everything is just kinda "eh that's pretty cool"

But god damn. That's a full working PC on something not much bigger than a battery.
