So is this meant as a competitor to Nvidia's gtx 970 ? If so, AMD may finally be on to a winner.

Does it have HBM?
Any idea of price?
That's going to be a bit awkward then - 390 performance and nowhere to really slot into a performance/price gap. I'd guess they'll price this above the 390 (and consequently, 970) and assume people want to pay a premium for an equally performing but shorter card (cf 390).
AMD should have prioritised HBM in their mobile gpus, seems like the ability to shrink the cards would be perfect for mobile devices
Pricewise this will probably be placed between the 390x and fury(non-x).. which also makes me think, will this have the same power as the fury or will it be stripped back further? i mean, if it's a significant jump in power from the 390x then it will be hit with losses and people will go for nano instead, but if the same power as a fury but cheaper and smaller then noone will buy the fury and get this instead.. so, where does this fit into the price/power range they have going :<
390 start @ £250
390X " £330
Fury " £440
Fury X " £530
This will slot in between the 390X and Fury so I'd imagine it will be close to £380.

I suspect this will cause more noise than actual takeup.
In reality most cases can handle a normal length card.
I have no idea if it's feasible but a full length single slot would bring in some other SFF case designs in to the gaming market.
