Never looked at it to be fair but I guess I should....
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
Picked up a 3rd party copy before you could buy the official google models. Quite impressive really but not that usable as you need to hold it for too long. It has also started to disintegrate after 3 or 4 phone removals. One of the cheap (~£10) third party plastic strapped headsets might be worth ago if you want to test it but it is a little gimmicky.
Best (cheap) VR headset I've seen is BoboVR Z3:

Comfy faux leather padding (most in this price range are just thin foam)
Large lenses (wide FOV)
Adjustable

I ordered 95p one from Gearbest a few weeks back (still to arrive from Singapore) to test VR as much as anything, as I have a lazy eye (my right eye won't focus fully) so I want to see if VR is going to work at all for me or whether it's just a case of it being less immersive.
If it's fine I'll probably skip this round and go with the next version of the Rift or something, depending on how the market in 2016 shapes up. I can't currently see me using a mobile based one except to wow people.
