Grr, was hoping "dark mode" referred to turning off all privacy.....not screen colours.

This could indicate that OLED screens will soon become common on laptops soon - dark modes are far more power efficient.
I think you are all missing the biggest enhancement..
How can anyone not upgrade from Win 7 now?more emojis
Seriously, I'm looking forward to trying dark mode and some BASH action.
I have to admit that I'm excited for this upgrade. I'm using the dark mode in Office 2016 and I'm starting to like it.

when I opened Hexus and saw 'Dark mode' there I was excited fooling myself that for the first time my copy of W10 will not share my secrets to some MS server in Seattle. OLED screens on laptops? that's nice and expensive.
There's already a way to enable dark mode via simple registry change:

Don't know how this will differ from the Dark Mode they're referring to here but it could just turn out to be a feature that was already available and not enabled in the first place than a completely new feature which MS are trying to market it as.
Nice to see them admitting that dark mode exists. You can currently only implement it via a registry edit. (At least I think that's what I did to turn it on.)
