If the dollar price is directly translated to the £ here, £25-35 for one 120mm fan is very expensive compared to quality alternatives by Noctua, Noiseblocker etc
lol not at £20 a fan thx you very much

$35 for two seems OK, but as said by others not if you directly translate to £. Shame, might have considered them as replacements for the excessively noisy fans on my Corsair H80iGT.
Far from a new technology, I have a sunon maglev fan in my UPS as they seem to be geared more towards longevity than noise reduction but it was quieter than the stock fan.
nice to see them come to a mainstream supplier to give us more options as I would consider these over the Noctua in the future.

interesting one !! i m curious to see the further explorations with fully utilization and benefits of the magnetic levitation..
So are these the quietest cooling fans on the market and are they better than Noctua?
These are on Scan already and at a similar price to the Noctua (Corsair are slightly more expensive).
It's hard to compare though without some real world testing as Corsiar muddy the water with a range of specs whereas Noctua quote maximum specs. It will be interesting to see the airflow and noise at the same fan speed. Noctua PWM also allows the fanspeed to be easily adjusted
140mm Noctua NF-A14 PWM
Fan Speed: 1500 rpm
Airflow: 82.5 CFM
Sound Level: 24.6 dB
140mm Corsair ML Series ML140
Fan Speed: 400 - 2000 rpm
Airflow: 20 - 97 CFM
Sound Level: 16 - 37 dB
More than happy enough with my Cougar Vortex PWM fans.
As with any fan at the moment, you'll trade bearing noise/Blade noise/cavitation effect on cooling depending on how yo run it, not just what you run.
I'll keep an eye on these. Need to see some comparison videos.
OCUK has them on pre-order starting at £15.95. It's still a lot of money for a fan. I remember when you could pick up decent fans for less than a fiver not that long ago.
These days, can you not 3d print a huge fan optimised for your specific case and just fit a quiet motor to it?
I know the Noctua have a smooth drive so they don't have the PWM tick others have, any word on Corsair having a tick at low speed?
