Wow, they are going to give back what they took away with Windows 8 (program groups/folders).
Although I guess most people have now worked around not having them........

The killer feature for me would be the ability for the antivirus to automatically download updates, separate to os updates, rather than popping up daily... I've already set it to notify so it doesn't just install automatically, which is better than nothing although I'd also like full manual control back... I am using 'pro' after all.
Um... refresh windows isn't new, it's there already under 'reset pc' in settings rather than in defender. Honestly wouldn't use it without removing documents drive as I don't trust it to keep all my files but the option is there.

Installed and running 15002 at the moment , I can't say I'm inpressed with it.
Seems very slow and buggy as hell.
I stepped out of the Insider fast ring when I got stuffed with the update that broke downloading new insider builds then expired. Ended up having to reinstall the machine from scratch. I know the insider fast ring is likely to be prone to that kind of thing occasionally, but MS could just provide a way to manually update to the next insider update if the current one is badly broken in some way...

I could not agree more with outwar6010
AS A WINDOWS 10 USER I WOULD LIKE THE OPTION TO DECIDE FOR MY SELF WHAT I WANT TO UPDATE
AND NOT HAVE MICROSOFT DECIDE FOR ME
I HATE CORTANA, I HATE MICROSOFT EDGE, I HATE BING I WANT THE OPTION TO CONFIGURE MY OWN WINDOWS
WHY DOES MICROSOFT NOT FIX THE BUGS IN Internet explorer 11 or fix the email problems in outlook live were some emails you just can not block , even Microsoft help comes up with crappy ideas that JUST DONT WORK,
so Microsoft fix the bugs that already exist in wind 1607 build ???? that's what I want
and the option to disable Cortana, disable Bing, and disable Edge,
and get Microsoft and others to stop spying on users.

I'd like an option to turn off stupid use of caps

Just use Mac OS - Mac users keep telling me how that is so wonderful and how everything 'just works'.... Don't think they get to choose what gets updated, though.
Too late for my old laptop. I was foolish enough to try an use it, but the windows update system was pegging the CPU at 100% making it hard to so much as browse for a fix. Tried some of the fixes, cpu went back to normal, then pegged at 100% again.
It currently says: "Installing software: 81%", and as this is Linux I can believe it too
Well, others have already said it for me. Unless MS reverse policy on a series of non-starters, like mandatory updates, telemetry, Cortana, etc, it doesn't matter to me what else they do, or add.
Actually, now, having effectively migrated most of my uses to Linux, they'd have to change those policy directions and give me an overwhelmingly good reason, to get me to go to the trouble of switching back.
I can't see any realistic prospect of them changing those policy decisions.
So, that's that, then.
It's not worth my time learning yet more software and OSes, in addition to all the other internal app stuff from work, all the vehicle softwares to get my car running, plus all the other things going on in life...
I'd need to be in full time education, twice over to get any benefit from it.
That sort of inconvenience is what will keep people on Windows.
Picking, choosing, and possibly rejecting some updates doesn't seem to be a choice but a necessity, the way Windows is designed and coded they have little choice but to force updates onto customers, it was never designed to be a modular OS and having thousands, if not millions of different hardware configurations is bad enough without throwing all the different software configurations into the mix.
Not sticking up for Microsoft BTW, just saying Windows wasn't designed with 'package' management in mind so, from what I've read, it's ended up a bit spaghetti like with code reminisce from over 20 years ago that can't be removed.
