I never played this before so I might pick up a copy on Steam for my Rift, depending on reviews.
I think the parts where you are walking around looking for/at evidence, and the parts where you talk to people would work great in VR, not so sure about the third person action sequences though.... but perhaps the VR specific area of the game has been tweaked, I would be interested to see it, but PC and console based VR is still too expensive for what you get IMO.
I am still yet to have a better VR experience than the 360 YouTube video of being inside a fighter jet, and that was using Google cardboard for crying out loud!
You should try Robo Recall, It's a Rift exclusive that comes with Touch controllers. Though I do not recommend buying anything through the Oculus store as I don't want to be restricted to one hardware vendor. Oculus needs to open up, sell their games on Steam and welcome other Hardware into their store. Exclusives do not have a place on the PC platform.
Its quite the opposite problem, vavle would allow native support for the Vive in the Oculus SDK because the Oculus SDK is better and so buying from Oculus would be better than steam, therefore losing them sales on stream.
The oculus store is not locked to Oculus hardware, its locked to supported hardware to which as per the above valve blocked it.
