My Orion is white-only but it does default to "waves" LED every time I switch it off. I can set to static with brightness + 0, but it needs human intervention.. I think editing the firmware could be the only way to stop it defaulting that way and I'm not convinced I could do such a thing.:/
Fortunate it is powered via USB - easy to leave unplugged! I quite like the look of their standard mats though.

Pad looks nice....Made in the same place in China as all the others...But that metal top part is HORRIBLE looking
At least it doesn't look like the metal bit is as bright silver as on the others though. Quite a price premium for the branding. Doesn't seem to have an on/off switch like some of the others, and it is a shame it doesn't double up as a USB hub.
