Don't think I am going to rush in here. Hopefully by the 8th May any remaining issues will have surfaced and either have been remedied or, the rollout delayed again.
Yet more bloat I'm never going to use :S
Glad that they're re-packaging existing features and pushing them forward. For everyone else there might soon be a 'lean' Windows 10 to stop the moaning.
dont use edge or cortana, focus assistant doesnt seem that helpful
took 4 hours to get to 22% downloaded using the update tool.
think ill wait a few days before trying again. servers appear to be getting used a lot.
got 6 computers need to update, 2 of which still need the ryzen spectre bios updates. going to be a fun few weeks for me
Well, I grabbed it. It didn't kill my PC! So there's that.
I'm a little disappointed by some of the PC-to-phone connections. It seems like their answer to almost everything about synchronicity is that I use Microsoft Launcher on my phone, and I'm not going to do that because I already use Nova Pro and I can't get the look I've created in that with MS Launcher. So I'm not going to be able to do these things, and millions of others like me won't, and our lack of use of the features will be interpreted as a lack of interest.
[IMPORTANT!] The new update switched my System Restore to 'off'. I know System Restore *was* working because I only used it about a month or so ago. But because the new version switched it off, that means I wouldn't be able to switch it on and use it; all old restore points were killed by it flipping this switch.
So the promise that you can safely try the update and go back if necessary is kind of true, but that's no substitute for System Restore. You would simply reinstall the old build and you might even have some software to install — it won't be a perfect return to how things were, unless you're lucky and Windows doesn't change your SR settings like it did mine.

Was surprised to see this on Windows Updates already last night. Didn't really want to do it yet on my laplet but when said check for updates it did it! Left it to it so won't know what the damage is until I get home tonight.
Hoping I have better luck with my main PC as still not managed to do the fall update, that just puts my PC into an endless crash / restart loop the second time it's restarted after install.
McAfee enterprise users, make sure you update VSE to patch 11 or the windows 1803 update won't install.

all updated ok here took around 1 hour and the update fixed a few problems i was having
and pc booting a lot fast too now....
Just updated...it went suspiciously smoothly.
Updates had ground to a halt previously - two security ones from March and April had failed to install (and couldn't seemingly be persuaded by any means to do so) - which made me wonder if the big update would work. When the assistant window opened, it said that I wasn't running the latest version of windows due to lack of updates (no sugar, Sherlock) and therefore I wouldn't be able to install the April one. However, this didn't stop it and the update was readied with a warning that it could take up to 90 minutes. In total, it took around 15.
Only two bugbears are the same as the fall update. One, it bypasses bitlocker when rebooting (which would be a faux-pas if the update gets eventually forced onto people in the background, leaving the system rebooted and unsecured), and B, it places an Edge icon on my desktop. And opens it.
Edit: there's also what appears to be some kind of attempt at an anti-cheat in the game mode section:

just started download again using update tool. it remembered it was up to 22% and carried on from there.
its now up to 36% after another 5 minutes.
only tried again because everyone above doesn't seem to be having download problems.. I probably tried at the peak rush time
my one wish though is that on the updater page, it will actually say how big the update is.
gone up another 12% since typing the above sentence. so speeding along now.
Surprised to not see anyone talking about the new Settings > Privacy > Diagnostics & feedback feature that let you look at what "diagnostic data" Microsoft is collecting.
EDIT: Also reading that apparently the April update doesn't include the microcode updates for Spectre attacks that were part of previous versions, maybe worth verifying that via InSpectre.
