Gotta love the language apple chooses to use even though they designed a horrible keyboard made, useless by dust that users weren't able clean out themselves despite the compressed air picture.
WHY did it take them so long to admit the design flaw?
I have one of these Macbooks Pro... rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishtiest computer ever, big mistake, will avoid Apple from now on.

Its the same with many companies sadly - as long as the fanbase is strong enough, they know they can deflect from issues, until it becomes too much of a problem for it to be buried. You only need to look at people attacking YouTube commenters over things like loot boxes, etc and how it was creating issues.
I have a 2011 Macbook Air and I have to say I love the computer. The charger and any accessories are built to break and the Apple store is set up to be [insert appropriate expletive here] about it. And believe me, the self righteous, arrogant little upstarts make a fine job of it.
It has been declared obselete and updates are slowing it down tremendously but I don't think that's too much of an issue for a 7 year old laptop. Most don't last that long and mine has been subjected to some fine abuse, even being carried with hardly any protection in a motorcycle top box repeatedly. That will kill most electronics... and eggs. Humpty Dumpty sat in the top box. Humpty Dumpty ended up as a fine mist.
My Air is in such good nick that when iOS becomes too much of an issue, I'm going to install Linux on it (already using it as a VM to ensure it works properly before going the whole hogg).
That said, the Apple support has really put me off buying another Apple product. Ever. The reviews of the chargers for the Air on their website are dire, usually failing just outside of the warranty period and Apple refusing to recognise reasonable durability as defined (then) in the Sale of Goods Act.
The other issue I have is the connectivity on their new laptops. Mine has a few USB ports, a card reader and a Thunderbolt port as well as the power connector. They're selling laptops with one tiny USB-C port which means if you even want to stick a bleedin' USB memory stick in it you need a dongle. What fresh hell is this??! I can sort of understand the Pro going down this route where it's often linked into a lot of high end music gear, etc and then you can do some work on the move but the basic one they're targetting at students?! Madness. It's just a trick to sell dongles and more to break and lose / forget to bring with you. One of the best bits about the Air is the backup utility but to use this properly you want to be sticking a memory stick in it or an SD card. Not a problem with the Air where you can put one of those tiny ones in but with the new things you have to have it dangling out of the side of the machine on a dongle like a donkey's.....
*Rage intensifies*
They just admitted it this time because they thought Louis Rossmann would actually delete his Youtube channel ;D
I did actually lol - my fruity loving fans haven't admitted this yet, although I know they're having problems but they won't say owt because I will right royally taketh the urine
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
