Might be interested in the LTE version, not bad!
Will be interesting to see how powerful this actually is.
The surface dock we already use in my firm, and something like this could be great for the sales people as their only machine.

Thinking exactly the same here - at £500 (as a type cover is pretty much mandatory) it's the same price as the rather bong standard HP laptops we buy for them at the moment - despite the drop in screen size from 11" to 10" this could be a great option...assuming the CPU is up to it and that the same high quality finish transitions from the "main" surface linen to these cheaper ones.
Will be interesting to see how much Chinese copycat versions cost in comparison...

I doubt they will have Hello for logon, and the keyboards are normally awful.
The other thing is if the rumours that the 8gb RAM version has NVM SSD rather than EMM.

"and the keyboards are normally awful."
- Yet I had and have no issues writing a load of stuff on the Surface pro type cover. (68,000 words once). Also the reviews highly rate them.
Been looking at this (online) today and while I do like it I think it's maybe a little overpriced considering you have another £150-200 on top if you want a keyboard and stylus, which imo is the whole reason you'd buy a surface in the first place so should at least have the stylus bundled. Hopefully some places will do bundles to bring the price down.
CPU is kaby lake based so realistically should be more than good enough for 'day to day' and the gpu is the same as in the m3 based surface pro (615 according to ms site and intel...) so that isn't going to be an issue either imo.
The thing that I want to know more about is battery life, 9 hours 'watching video's' gives me about as much information as a bowl of cereal so I'll wait on real world testing because that could be a deal breaker imo.
...and comes with windows 10 S
Yup, got a launch day SP3, which is going strong on it's 2nd type cover because some rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish split a pint over it 3 and a bit years ago.
The keyboards are surprisingly good, the touchpads naff as can be, better on the newer ones mind.
My GF was still using my old S3 until a few months ago, was quite funny when on holiday in middle of nowhere SEA I had a spot of work to do, I slaved the SP3 to my SB2 to act as a second screen, the gf sat next to me on the S3. Someone else came into the cafe whose WiFi I was using and asked if I worked for MS.
In all honesty I'd still be using the SP3 if it wasn't for the fact 8GB of RAM just isn't enough for my current stack, thanks JavaScript.

This device looks interesting . but for serious android programming work you need 16gb minimum!
