Re: Nvidia technical marketing boss Tom Petersen moves to Intel

What people don't know is I was offered this job first. I deemed my skillset to be far superior to what Intel could ever provide the resources to exploit and so I turned them down. This chap was second choice. I'm currently working for the Kaylon. They offer the chance to use my supreme intellect.

(Am I arrogant enough to be an executive yet?)

Tom's one of the really nice guys in the industry. He'll do well at Intel.

Re: Nvidia technical marketing boss Tom Petersen moves to Intel

Brace yourself for the new intel chips : the i7-1000-Ti, the i7-1000, the i7-1000 with lower clock speed and gimped memory bus (but no way for the consumer to tell without the spec sheet inside the box), the i7-1000-FTX extra and the i7-1000-RTX titan-gargantuan. It's worse than the FTX but costs 5 times more and is a limited edition, etc etc etc. And that's just the changes to the i7 line, rinse and repeat for all the i5 and i3 tiers.

    Confusing times ahead!

I wouldn't employ Gerard Williams III purely for the "I have lead many teams" on his profile. No, it's "I have led many teams".

Past tense is hard I guess when you're always looking forward.

Going to be interesting to see what kind of products come because of these changes. I am very interested to see possibly new technologies?

Re: Nvidia technical marketing boss Tom Petersen moves to Intel

Perhaps this will lead to a "Burning platforms" email at Intel followed by a switch of all integrated graphics to something licensed from Nvidia before the ensuing chaos tanks the Intel share price so Nvidia can buy them on the cheap.

    Worked at Nokia.

He dare not use the past tense LED in case it was associated with RGB
