I got this with Three about 5 years ago when they had the One plan.

Three have 1 month rolling contract with unlimited everything and 5G ready for £26 a month.

    Just O2 being O2!

£33 a month for slow internet that you can only get in built up areas. No thanks.

Re: O2 UK starts to offer unlimited data tariffs for the first time

Pretty sure I've saw unlimited data tariffs a long time ago so this is nothing new..

Be interested how it plays out with GiffGaff them being an MVNO as they've just doubled their data bundles on goodybags, perhaps they knew something we didnt...

Re: O2 UK starts to offer unlimited data tariffs for the first time

Lol, would this be the same "Unlimited" data plan that is actually soft limited to a 650Gb fair usage policy in it's T&C's????

"“Fair use policy applies, personal and non-commercial usage only. If you regularly use 650GB of data per month or tether 12 or more devices we may consider this to be none permitted use and have the right to move you to a more suitable plan. EU roaming capped at 20GB per month, chargeable at 0.4p per MB afterwards.”

Re: O2 UK starts to offer unlimited data tariffs for the first time

I use 1 GB every month, and so still have 19 to do good ( or evil ) with.
And i get plenty of bandwidth for the stuff i use my phone for, which are regular phone stuff, maybe a email now and then, and then navigation on rare occasions.

On a really REALLY bad month i talk for 3 hours which are far too much and mean i need to further educate people with my phone number.

Re: O2 UK starts to offer unlimited data tariffs for the first time

Another issue is (unlike other providers), unless O2 has changed very recently, O2 block ports. Therefore, the attraction of this would be to have mobile internet at home and do away with a landline completely - which (especially with 5G) is a very real possibility for people not needing any high spped internet. But with these blocked ports you get a disabled internet - for example STEAM doesn't work - you can't even log into activate games, let alone download any. There will be other examples. Until they realise that they need to start providing a fully functional mobile internet, then no thanks.
