These are the stars of the show
Upgraded SP7 - as expected, nice but not really life changing
ARM based surface - as expected, and a bit of an over priced device with a very limited market
AMD based surface laptop - nothing exciting, but is another reason to keep ignoring the surface laptop lineup The Dell XPS13 will still win out against this device, likely even moreso now considering the huge price increase over the previous surface laptop.
Neo & Duo though - these are exciting & interesting devices. New for MS and the industry, its one to follow closely! Shame it's a year or so away, but can't wait to try one out in person
No problem, its just it's nothing special. The current ones are basically hobbled surface pro's, but their pricing counters this quite well. The new one ups the price and doesn't offer anything particularly special - there are better options in the market.
The fact it's got an AMD chip doesn't have a bearing on this until we see some real world performance comparisons.
You know the AMD price is higher due to it having a larger screen right.... the amd is only on the 15inch.
The 13 inch surface laptop with i5, 128GB SSD and 8GB ram is literally £20 more than the old one (actually it looks like it's the same on most models) before it got it's 'end of life' price reduction.
Not saying that I wouldn't prefer the prices a little lower for the specs but for something that is 'premium' and is being priced to not cannibalise the OEM market where MS still makes a load of money it's no worse than apple's pricing imo.
what in the world does the "omnisonic" buzz word mean? :-(
used to be called "mono" sound dear boy.
so these are all about a year away (holday 2020) = jun 20 or nov 20 ?
