Like Mojo, I do too. AMDs Navi die sizes are a gnats pubic hair in mm^2 compared to the colossal die sizes Nvidia are using. Potentially a lot of moxious potential there if they compete on die size.

But, I reallllly like the look of that 5500M, that and that all AMD Gigabyte laptop, really looking forward to that review to see how it stacks up.

    150W typical:
    https://www.amd.com/en/products/grap...radeon-rx-5500

So 570 performance in the same power budget, eyeballing the difference between the 1650 and 570. That's a hard market to enter, at least until the 570 stock dries up

Not really 570 performance if it is 12% faster than the 480 as AMD claim. More like 590 performance for 570 power consumption.

Re: AMD intros Radeon RX 5500 series, based upon the 7nm Navi 14 GPU

I found out yesterday that my computer with a 5700 XT in it, well i cant play and then record it at the same time, the resulting video are laggy every few seconds.
    AND ! i have 12 cores on my 1920X - 32 Gb RAM - and the 5700XT feeding a 1080p screen.

Dont even work with the microsoft stuff either.
Guess you need other hardware beside what i have to pull that off.

SO why do they provide these options ( AMD in the driver software ) and Microsoft in their OS, when you need a ultimate uber computer to pull it off ( well i assume you have to do that )

The 590 is 22% ahead of the 480 on FLOPS, so it's a steep ask to catch. Where do AMD compare the 5500 to the 480?

Mate it is literally the second image in the article. The 480 is shown below the 5500 as it's a bit lower in frame rate output.

Fair, I was looking for the percentage
