Shouldent they also open 1000 phone addition clinics ?
I mean sure gaming can be addicting, but come on compared to all the phone zombies gaming is nothing.
Live long and prosper.
I had the same happen to me with a young couple pushing a pram a few years ago, they nonchalantly walked out in front of me clearly expecting me to slow down / stop as they got there first.
And i did stop but did so late to teach them a lesson.
CUZ in the place there use to be a crosswalk in which case i must yield to any pedestrians wishing to cross, BUT ! that crosswalk was removed like 10 years ago, and there are no zeebra markings on the ground or signs.
And it is clearly a idiot place to put a crosswalk across 2 x 2 lanes on a major road in town that have its own problems just with the traffic on the road.
So the 2 idiots ended up in one of my dashcam compilations of idiot Danes in traffic.
We totally need laws in place instead of actually taking responsibility for parenting.
Games are just one manifestation.
Gambling, drugs, alcohol, etc.
They are so focused on the individual expressions, they are ignoring that they have a lot in common.
Those may be mentioned, but there should not need to be a separate classification for any of them.
They are just symptoms, not the cause.
I love my computer games, in moderation like everything else.
But I do think Gaming is escapism for many people me included, with the way the world is today sometimes I just want to escape into "la la land" can you blame the younger generation for wanting to stay there too many hours a day?
What do kids have to look forward to now, never being able to afford there own home, A massively increasing cost of living and working in a increasingly competitive work marketplace with all our European friends coming over doing the jobs for a pittance.
I have 2 children ones nearly 18 what a tough future they all have now, and with the idiots in power things don't seem to be getting better.
What I am getting to is the real world sometimes is hard to face, so maybe the gaming world is easier to face than the real world where everything seems to be bleak.
Sorry to make anyone feel uncomfortable or depressed, just my personal feelings going in that direction.

And so it begins..how has it come to this!?
Thanks for saying this. This is more of an epidemic that I see constantly when I commute to work... and this can also cause people to get into trouble. The one that constantly frustrates me is the person so engrossed in their phone and walking straight towards me... then panic in the last second, as they finally looked up to look. I tend not to give way these days... I have just as much right as them to walk on the footpath, and I'm sick and tired of always getting out of the way for these people.
I saw one the other week, who walked into traffic without even looking... they only avoided getting hit because the driver was more attentive than that person. And yep, they're never at fault.
And I agree, parents need to take more responsibility. Especially with Neurotypical kids.... I am a parent of Autistic kids, and I can still make sure they're safe and do control how much gaming they will be playing... we have a hard job. So I have NO SYMPATHY with lazy parents... learn to take some responsibility instead of wasting our NHS money on this crap. They're already underfunded, and we don't need another pointless public investment...
The three WHO definitions, I have hit all 3 when I was younger and gaming. But then I had no other responsibilities. Now that I do have a family and other responsibilities, gaming takes a back seat. I play, when I can, if my family does NOT need me. So I don't shirk any of my other responsibilities. Let kids be kids for god's sake!

If they're doing this, how about they open up somewhere for people like me, who cannot manage to get in enough gaming time, and who have too many Steam games they've never even played, let alone completed...?
Life is getting in the way of my gaming. I need intervention!!

I need this too. I've got way too many games, and I keep buying more... but only completing a few because I just can't find the time in the day to play. My gaming backlog in terms of not completed is probably more than 90% of the games I own. I need more gaming time!
