RT on any Direct X 11 card.

So an Intel library. Is it crippled on AMD platforms, like they have done before?
Always been impressed by how little hardware WOT needs to run well. Shame its such a grindfest unless you spend serious money on premium tanks and ammo.
So I just tested it with their benchmark tool. I lost 38% in score from RT shadows off to RT shadows on Ultra, though still within good Ultra settings result.
I tested it on a workstation laptop (Dell 7530), so it should be much better on my gamer PC.
The more you live, less you die. More you play, more you die. Isn't it great.

To be fair, at this stage, multiple different RT solutions vying for votes is probably a healthy thing. In all likelihood it will lead to a degree of standardisation emerging down the line, much as things like Mantle lead to DirectX12 and Vulkan, and long before that we had the different 3D manufactuerer APIs coming together as Direct3D and OpenGL. Also gsync/freesync->Adaptive Sync.
Of course, it means that early adopters may suffer, but since there's really only Nvidia in the ring right now, and they're the 800 pound gorilla, it is unlikely they'll be left cold (see Freesync etc).
The good thing is that competition will mean that it is far less likely that one vendor will call the shots and scupper everything for the everyone else. That being said, CUDA's dominance still grates, and I speak as someone with lots of Nvidia cards!
a small detail but impressive
tested on medium settings, 750ti at 1680x1050 with ray trace and AA off, got a great high performance rating of 21197
then turned RT and AA to ultra and got good medium performance of 7559
shadows on the ground looked amongst some of the best i'd seen, but boy was it laggy and jerky with everything pinging about.
then whacked it up to Ultra settings.
there was a lot of screen tearing. case fans went up to full speed. even felt a warm breeze emanating out the top of the case across my face.. then got a medium performance result of 5023
it ran it, so its a pass from me computers good enough to run fancy RT stuff, no need to upgrade just yet. as long as newer stuff doesn't use the SSE4.2 instructions, mine wont run it then, like assassin creed origins.
