Excellent value for money. Just look at those specs.... oh.
These arent gaming machines, they are work machines used by professional corporations.
They are good value for money given the kind of work loads Mac Pros are used for particularity in studio grade video production, vanilla PC's are just not used by that industry in any meaningful way and all the flagship software is optimized for the Mac.
for specific work purposes it is absolutely brilliant, in the professional field I would say that both PC and Mac do well, for consumer and enthusiast would say PC is the only way due to more freedom with private builds without having to deal with various problems that Apple in general has.

"When Apple launched the redesigned Mac Pro in December, it said that the W5700X GPU would become available as an upgrade in the "near future." A few months later, buyers can now opt for the middle-tier graphics card when using Apple's build-to-order tool," reports Apple Insider.

Add $600 for the build-to order system with W5700X GPU, or add $1600 for two of these MPX modules.
