I'm really hoping this isn't true - that TDP at the top end is crazy high - a 2080 ti is only 285W. Also since when was 48V a part of the PC PSU standard. Something doesn't add up here...
Electrically, I think you'd really struggle to do 500V @ 12V using standard 8 Pin PCIE connectors. I mean, each connector supplies at most 150W, with another 75W from the slot, so you'd be looking at a 3 PCIE power connector card. I'm not sure if that's ever been done before.
So yeah, I think a 48V PSU requirement is probably right, and this card goes in the "exoctic datacenter processor" category. That's kinda supported by the use of HBMe2 memory, which tends to be datacenter oriented (yeah, HBM has been used on the Vega cards, but even though I like my Vega56, it's not like it sold well...)
So how much has Raja ripped from AMD, any guesses?
If it's even barely average, they must have infringed alot. Very short space of time with practically no knowledge (no, not the integrated gpu they have made a few years)

If this is a slide that is meant to incite hype, it does completely the opposite.
The fact that intels first ever GPU (the DG1 was just another Intel "look, we did release something") is going to feel like a Fermi/Fury disaster level of hype and failure.
And some media are basically doing this:
chiplets ... like a Ryzen to Threadripper kinda thing then?
1 chiplet for basic cards PCI express powered
2 chiplets for gamers... with some kinda... infinity fabriccy kinds thing..... joining them together
4 chiplets for data centres...
makes sense.

Eh, 500W has been done before successfully on both air and liquid cooling. Titan Z and 295X2 both needed 500 W, and only had 2 8-pin connectors*. Stick a AIO water cooler and 3 8-pin connectors on it and it'll work fine
* By "cooled successfully", I'm leaning on the NCIX tech tips video for the titan Z ("barely audible") and the Hexus review finding the 295X2 to be quieter than a 290X. Unfortunately, the 295X2 whupped the titan Z so hard few samples made it out for review
