So all those options, and the guy go with blue, that have been done to death for over a decade.

Lol I love how trends come and go in waves even in PC hardware. Pretty sure all white was a thing before the all black obsession of the last few years. I call all brushed aluminium next XD (or gunmetal grey 9_9)

Aura Sync... Possibly the most boring and limited set of patterns and customisable RGB options on the market. No wonder Corsair stepped in!!

It does mean my Crucial RAM, which won't actually work with its own flippin' software, can likely be controlled with iCUE via Aura, though...

Meh, so it's just a different colour plastic being used....

I think I'd be more impressed if they'd brought out some fans that are 'reversed' so if you stick the fans at the bottom of a glass windowed case (or on the back of a push pull rad config) you don't see all the construction/cables when pulling air in like you do now....

Re: Corsair releases popular premium coolers in white livery

"you don't see all the construction/cables"

So i am not the only one with that issue :-)
Though it is rare i have ever been in that problem as that part of fans have not been seen in my builds.

I don't think i will do all custom cables again, i feel like i am getting too old for that Sh..
So i will probably just go with some off the shelf ones as the surplus of them will not be seen, and i think i am old enough to ignore the fact i know the cable surplus is there even if it cant be seen.

after all it take quite a while to do do each and every cable in a computer to custom length and sleeve them too.
I will probably have to sew a little on my ATX and 2 X 8 pin pci-e and 2 X 8 pin for the extra mobo power, those combs people use now,,,,, that's a bit too much other people for me.
So my plan is to break out needle and thread and sew the cables together instead of big ugly combs, and see if i can remember any of the rope work skills from when i earned my money on the seven seas.

To boldly go where,,,,,,, probably not many have gone before.

To be fair I'm not in that situation much either because I prefer solid side panels (the glass side is on the wrong side for me to even see it on my setup...pc on my left) but considering how many cases are using glass now (which is a little annoying when you find a case you like but only available with glass side panel...) you'd think at least one major manufacturer (I've seen one random company doing one) would have picked up on the 'issue' with how fans are designed and made some by now...

Re: Corsair releases popular premium coolers in white livery

Haha i have 4 Thermaltake level 20 XT glass panels lying stripped of all mounting brackets, i will use them as templates for my new sides / top / front, and then i will throw the glass out.
My new side panels i am not even going to make a little window in, i am done with that as i have been modding and been a PC enthusiast since Y2K or there about.

I am done with blue LED light - i am done with glass, ill leave that to the posers

PS. The dual sided tape Tt have used to secure mounting brackets on the top and front panels,,,,, damn strong stuff, but i got it off without ruining the glass.
The plastic mounting brackets on the side panels just screw off each with 3 screws.

I am thinking maybe go with come colored PVC this way i don't have to wrap or paint those parts.
also brainstorming if i should use plastic on the inside changes instead of the planned ALU, we will see have just compiled a 400 EURO shopping bill at Alphacool.
So ordering those materials might have to wait a little until i have force fed my piggy bank for a few months.

I am still firm on my flat black & yellow scheme for the build, only not sure if i keep on with the opaque yellow coolant i have in the system now or go with a transparent yellow.
Will have to examine CPU head before i commit.

Used to be some fans in the late 80's early 90's that had a plastic block that clipped in over the cables......<slaps head> I'm gonna go mad trying to think who made them now

I was big on Papst fans back in the day when 80 and 92 mm was the fans sizes in cases, many used Sunon too but not me

Re: Corsair releases popular premium coolers in white livery

NO, i have 3 of the LL series RGB fans, one quickly developed a faulty led that can only do on ( green light ) or OFF, wanting to do RMA on it the seller said i have to return the complete 3 fan kit.
And i would if it wasent for the fact the lian li case they are in are modified and in a way working on it mean you almost have to disassemble it all, water cooling ASO.

New case will have non RGB Noctura fans, and it will be modified so i can work with it and not have to dismantle everything.

TBH i have no idea what i was thinking with those RGB fans, just prove even the smartest guy can make a brain fart now and then.

I will use the RGB controller in the new case, but for a few RGB strips for case lightning ( closed case no window )
