Have you provided the right quote? There don't appear to be any words about the monitor in the statement.

LOL - seems to be a case of NVidia hijacking the LG launch event with their own marketing messages!

Um... the specs state DisplayPort 1.4 x 1...

While I'd expect a newer gpu to push it anyway, that isn't exactly ideal imo.

    Taken from tomshardware...
LG has managed to squeeze all the data throughput out of just a single DisplayPort 1.4 connector, which is impressive given that technically, that would be beyond the maximum bandwidth. At 10 bits, the refresh rate will be limited to 95 Hz, 120 Hz at 8bit, but 10 bit and 144 Hz can be achieved by enabling DSC on Nvidia RTX cards, GTX 1650 and higher, and AMD RX 5500 and higher graphics cards.

its nice it covers both free and g synch.... there is one problem though, 4K gaming is still a myth.. unless you buff up old titles.

It's only at the 'G-sync compatible' tier, ie it's freesync.

Seems like an odd decision to limit the monitor in that way.

Also why is this only 27" for 4k? 27" seems more fitting for 1440p.

I think it's the norm - using two cables to connect a monitor is very rare.

They sell a 1440p 27" too if you want, shouldn't stop them offering 4k for those who want that instead.

Speak for yourself, I want 4K at 27inch and don't want 32inch because it's too big to work comfortably on...

that's ridiculous 32" is great for desktop productivity unless you've got it perched on an ikea dressing table instead of a decent sized desk

    In YOUR opinion....

I've got a decent size desk and I still don't want a 32inch 16:9 or 16:10 screen in front of me.
