Not surprised to be fair...
I'm running a book on next to go - except Sony as that operation has been running on borrowed time for a while
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
Half of the new LG phones aren't even sold in the UK.
the price you pay for being different.
It's a shame but they should have kept a mainstay traditional phone while drumming up interest with the weird and wonderful
Can't help but wonder whether the Google handset they made overshadowed their own brand...
Shame, because the ones I've heard I thought had above-average sound (music) capabilities. That said, I bought a Samsung for other reasons.

LG - They should have had a tag line 'not quite as good as the similar Samsung' (Build quality was worse and they dropped support for new OSs on phones way to quickly). Some of the newer designs are interesting but too expensive and not worth the risk (I suspected this for at least 6 months).
It's also a shame because the fewer real competitors there are, the less good the options will be for consumers. Consumers having real choice keeps the big boys relatively honest. And too many competitors have dropped out already. It's not good for us in the long run.

It's sad to see LG go as it means less choice for us customers, but then I never bought one of their phones so I doubt I'll miss them personally.
One more step towards the Apple/Samsung duopoly.
Having bought a Samsung I will say I'm sad not to have someone else to consider when looking for my next phone, all these 'enhancements' over Android are a right PITA. Would have gone for another Moto but they just followed the trend for huge low res screens
Well, at least they still have displays to offer.
That is what has kept them going. As said above the duopoly is getting there in some ways, but I can't see it happening. More little phone companies will pop up. However last time I went phone shopping the little phones companies, whilst often cheaper seemed to miss the chance to bring something different. I got a Samsung again just because they were the best for me at the price. With several Samsung devices to pair to them that also made it easier to choose
