Most important thing to me..they fixed the date/time format bug in the taskbar that I reported

Small thing but it was bugging me!

You can't even remove the space if you disable 'recommendations' from what I've seen (not testing it, need my pc for work), with there being just an empty space underneath 'recommended text' and you're still stuck with the 'scrolling' app draw... total waste of space and incredibly poor UX imo.

It really does seems like they've forgotten about desktops having more space than a mobile phones, or they're hoping they can 'remove the option' and leave it there for 'suggestions' (no better than adverts imo).

Honestly feel like I'll need to grab an alternative start menu at this point in time...

please.. would prefer to have the buttons I always had and more... I can understand why they want to make special variants for phones and the likes, but it is not really innovation taking stuff away from the core platform or at least not offering the option when setting up windows and so on and so forth.

We like, at least those of us who is more advanced or oldschool users, more control.

I wonder if they'll finally fix having a controller pluged in preventing sleep and the screen powering off, it's only been a problem for 5 years so maybe I'm expecting to much.

Keep Gaming mode on in the alpha dev builds. Games crashes will be less likely. I turned off Gaming mode for windows 11 and games were crashing every 15-30 minutes. With the gaming mode on. The crashes usually only happen closer to an end of 45 minutes or so on some games. Some games don't crash at all.

Was fixed, broke again in 2004, at least from what i gather. You'd think Microsoft would be capable of fixing their own driver.

It's not currently a problem with my USB controllers (XBOX gamepad and ancient saitek joystick).

Re: Windows 11 preview build 22000.65 released to dev channel

You must be one of the lucky ones as there's a load of thread on the MS forums about it. (two threads with most replies, and a quick google of "controller preventing sleep windows" will turn up plenty more).

The silly thing is resetting the controller (disable/enable in devicemanager, pnputil, or whatever) sorts the problem out and allows the screen to turn off and/or the PC to sleep so setting up a task to run every time the system starts sorts it, that's what's so annoying really as MS could implement the 'fix' so easily.

Will we get a system tray across multiple monitors before Windows 32 ?

whilst it appears to be a regular issue for some, I've never had it. Must be a certain combo that causes it. Of course, the fact that many DON'T have an issue IS the issue
