    EVGA e-GeForce 7800 GTX BlackPearl 512MB

How can something so red hot be so green!?...
638MHz VPU core! 1840MHz GDDR-3! All at 0dB(A) above quiet!
ye Ryszard reports0r on yet more HEXUS scoopage - read HEXUS' World eXclusive Hands-On Preview of the NVIDIA NV47 based EVGA e-GeForce 7800 GTX BlackPearl 512MB
However, we've also found out recently that, regardless of price, there is a market, however small, for boutique bits of PC hardware. The ASUS Extreme N7800GT Dual is one such bit of high-end, very rare, very expensive PC hardware that springs to mind.

The EVGA e-GeForce 7800 GTX BlackPearl 512MB is from a similar mould. With a production run of way less than the 2000 N7800GT Duals destined for retail sale, the watercooled BlackPearl might be even less attractive to many people because of it. We had a quick look at performance in our preview, so now it's time to see if the BlackPearl, with its high price and off-putting watercooling, is still a decent proposition to those who like to spend money the way I like to eat pies.
Read HEXUS' Full Review on the EVGA e-GeForce 7800 GTX BlackPearl 512MB, and once you've had our take, why not give us a slice of your own, here in this thread?...

Sounds like a really neat card, imagine what a pair of them could do in a SLi setup using HDR on games like Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

Price however is way OTT !

I think the placement of the water inlets could be better. If they where vertical, then it would be possible to mount two close together in an SLI setup, such as in a Shuttle SN26, or the latest Iwill SFF system, with an external radiator. As it is you would need at least one free slot between them, so you would have to use a full size case.

Haveing said that, I would never build such a rig, even if I won the lottery so feel free to ignore what I have just said.

You can replace the block's barbs to right-angled inlets if you wish. The replacement barbs are supplied for you to do so.
