    Futuremark 3DMark06 Launch

    Another year, another 3DMark
Ever since I started taking hardware performance testing seriously, a version of 3DMark has been an oft-used part of my software arsenal. You need literally dozens of tools to just evaluate a graphics product these days, to get as comprehensive a picture of the hardware as possible in order to make an informed judgement for a discerning readership such as yourselves.

There are people who don't read the HEXUS.right2reply forum - this is specifically for the feedback in the review.

The others 1. Is a News Story and the others 2 is to alert people to the fact it is live in the Tech forums

    Nice review, thanks.

Are there any sound tests in 06?

Does the free version contain any subsystem tests? I loved 01 and 03 for their non-game tests, but I was really disappointed with 05 only having game and CPU tests.

Do you mean doesn't have a large resolution?

    oooh it looks all shiny

Nice to see a comparison between the 05 and 06 screenies especially showing the differences in HDR.

Now - the most important question, is Rys still in the credits ?

No sound tests, but sound in the demo. 06's feature tests are locked out of the free version, as far as I'm aware.

Nope, we didn't do any BDP work with Futuremark this time around for 06, so no HEXUS mention
