O2 unlimited sim / unlocked iPhone

Sorry if this is against the rules, I had a quick look and couldn't see anything related to this question!

I have an unlocked 2G iPhone that I'm using on T-mobile in the UK. However, I've found out about the free "O2 unlimited" sim cards that O2 offer on their website, and I've ordered some of these - they give you unlimited O2 to O2 texts for topping up £10 or more each month and unlimited O2 to O2 calls and texts for topping up £15 or more. My question is.. will these actually work in my phone or will O2 be able to somehow tell that I'm using an unlocked iPhone on their network?

Thanks for any help you can offer

Fairly sure this will work - I know someone who is doing something similar to this.
