What to do?

My 18 month contract expires in the next few months and I'm not quite sure what to do.

I currently have a Samsung i8510. I'm paying £35 per month which allows 600 minutes and unlimited text messages on o2.

I'm perfectly happy with the phone, it does pretty much everything I need. Should I bother getting a new handset, or try and wrangle the price down?

If I do go for a new handset, any suggestions? I want to be able to watch films, play music, web-browse, and maybe take a few pics.

there are plenty of promotion available in the major phone store. check it out yourself, talk to the them and you may know what you are looking for.

If you're happy with the phone then I wouldn't change it. It's perfectly capable for the activities you listed.

You can easily haggle the price down. I know someone who is paying around £25 and is getting between 1000-1200 minutes with unlimited texts and data with O2. If i remember correctly they even got a phone with that.

Definately negotiate, I used to pay £35/month and when my contract came up I threatened to leave and now pay £16/month for a much better deal than I previously had. I was offered a free phone upgrade as well.
