Nokia 5800 V40.0.005 - Firmware Available

Hey all,
Just a heads up that the new 40.0.005 firmware is available for the Nokia 5800. It doesn't seem to be working over OTA but it will update via the Nokia Software Updater tool.

Updates:

- Home style widget with Nokia 5530;
- Auto-switching mode (when in landscape mode, the phone automatically activates the QWERTY keyboard);
- Refresh Icons “Sharing Online”, “Configuring Accessories”, “Configure Phone”;
- Improved application “Updating Applications”, which also renames Upgrade SW;
- The application “Data transfer” was also implemented in “Settings”;
- Real Player Updated (12 October 2009);
- Touch more responsive;
- Improved stability.

Seems pretty damn good!

I was thinking of getting a 5800 - any good? I do like Nokia maps over Google Maps any day - the no need for internet connection wins it for me each time (like on my old N95 which I sold for good wonga!)

It's an excellent phone - I bought mine on the Marshall Ward £100 price glitch. Definite bargain at that price!

I think I can get it on free upgrade - 10 quid a month, 100 mins, unl Vodafone calls, unlimited texts!
