Best phone to sell on

Hi Peeps,

Thinking of ordering a Nexus One from the US. I've got an iPhone 3G which is unlocked, and was going to flog on Ebay.

I'm out of contract in Feb, so was thinking of getting a new contract and selling whatever freebie phone on Ebay to help fund the Nexus. The question is, what phone would attract the highest value on Ebay in terms of selling it on?

Aren't vodafone supposed to be getting the Nexus anyway? Why not wait till feb and get it subsidised?

Checking ebay would be the best thing to do, alternatively, I've found getting the newest phone you can for free tends to get the best resell price if you do it immediately.

Yep, sorry. I'm happy with my iPhone tariff so would be looking to pay around 30/35 a month with unlimited data and around 600 mins per month, although I probably dont use those minutes most months - I use the phone for data mainly.

The Touch HD2 is free on Voda for 35 a month and looks like it will sell for upwards of 400 notes on Ebay - looks like a potential?

I could wait till it comes out for real on Vodafone, but my contract is up soon and I have itchy fingers! Plus Vodafone say it is coming in the Spring...Not Feb AFAIK?

Da, you might be better off switching to virgin , you can get the |HD for £25 18month 500minutes and unlimited text/data. Although it does depend heavily on the factor of if VM is actually ok for you etc.

If your happy paying that amount just for the credit then yeh HD2 is fetching £350-£500 on ebay, or you could get another iphone gs? Might get more for that (i havent checked!).

What's wrong with Virgin? It's just TMobile, right? Not that bad!

Reckon the HD2 might be the one to do it with then...You need to pay up for the 3GS on 18 month contract, and I dont want to go for 2 years...

Ah fair enough, i dont look into the iphone as its not what i want .

Nothing wrong with them, they hop on t-mobiles network (it was pants for me years ago, might of improved around my area). Im looking to go with them when vodafone contract runs out in 2 months to get the hd2 .

It is just to do with your area and useage though thats what i meant, you said you use it mainly for data? Well it has a 1gb allowance(is that standard?) and apparently has speeds throttled all the time just like t-mobile do, its like 386KB or something. I hate 2 year contracts, my current one is only a 12month plan(suprised i found it!) so now will have to settle for that 18month, oh well it is pretty damn cheap.
