Free cases for iPhone 4 - experiences?

Finally got around to downloading the "iPhone 4 Case Program" app today (seemed a strange way to handle the issue - especially as I had to try 2 different searches to find it) and ordered myself a Belkin graphite something-or-other - all well and good.

I was frankly amazed by the lead-times though - even the official Apple 'Bumper' was (I think) 3-5 weeks, with some of the third-party cases being 10 weeks! I realise they may be expecting high volume of orders, but does that not seem ludicrous??

Has anyone else ordered theirs? What lead-times were you quoted?

Maybe Apple are waiting until they have captured most of the requests and then they an place a bulk order with the manufacturer of the bumper to reduce their overall cost of this "Program".

My bumper said 3-5 weeks, took 3 days. Not worth waiting for, the bumper is dire!

Mine said 10 weeks when I ordered Friday 30th June... But they've just sent me a delivery noticed saying it'll be delivered by tomorrow. So that would be exactly 2 weeks from click to delivery.

Will let you know if it doesn't turn up.

Just got my 'expected' delivery date and it was bang on 10 weeks... We'll see how long it actually takes to turn up, but I've had to get myself something in the meantime (mainly for protection - I frankly couldn't care less about the reception issue!) so I got an el cheapo gel case for about £5 off Play and it's actually surprisingly good!

Knowing me I'll probably have got so used to it by the time the nice expensive one turns up that I'll end up not using that one

Mine arrived Friday. So took exactly 2 weeks for the Griffin Reveal Etch graphite case. Can't remember the original shipping estimate date, but think it was also exactly 10 weeks. Hopefully yours will arrive sooner as well!

My brothers case took approx 5 weeks, i placed my order approx 2 weeks ago and am still waiting to receive mine.
Didnt think much of the Bumbper case but have orderd a different case with the back and am now waiting to receive.
Have bought a case from Amazon for £3 and it's great, so will leave the comparisons till later

Mine came yesterday, and that was after I ordered it on the 7th August.

I received mine just a few days ago, I'm extremely happy and will only use the silicone skin I have when this one is totally useless

Finally arrived! Pretty much bang on 10 weeks (ridiculous) and as predicted I actually prefer the cheap, rubbishy one I bought as a stop-gap while I waited for the nice, expensive one to arrive.

Ah well, at the very least I can sell it!

I received mine in approx 7 weeks and must say that I am extremely happy with it. Excellent case and very good quality!

Yeah, that offer was run about 18 months ago and to help deal with the large number of complaints Apple were getting regarding reception on the iPhone 4 that were flooding in after the launch.
