    Transferring Mobile Number

Just a quick question, I was planning to get a new phone on O2 maybe this week. However I am currently in contact with TMobile until February.

I know that when you get a new phone you can transfer numbers between networks on to your new sim.

Is there a time limit on how long you have to do the transfer? My plan is to just wait until the TMobile contract ends and then do the transfer.

The only time limit I am aware of is the one regarding how long you have to change the number over after asking for the PAC Code. When you ask your provider for the PAC code to change your number over you have, IIRC, 30 days to complete the transfer before the PAC Code becomes invalid.

    Re: Transferring Mobile Number

Most networks will not release a PAC code until the final month of the contract and you have to use the PAC within 30 days or it becomes invalid and you have to request a new one. With O2 on contract you have to have your PAC code ready when you connect with them, you cant bring a number over at a later date.

I used to work for O2, left October last year. Not sure if their policies have changed on this since then, I would give their customer services a call to double check.
