Evening all,
Just had a call from mobiles.co.uk.
I got my HTC Desire from them about 22 months ago. £25 a month, 100 minutes, 200 text, 500 meg or something like that. Vodafone.
Was told on the phone that I could upgrade to a 16gb iphone 4s with 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 500 meg data for £36 a month, and Vodafone would not charge me for the phone, which normally costs £129. Or, basically, the third deal down here:
http://www.vodafone.co.uk/brands/iph...hone/index.htm
However, if I look at their own site, I find this:
http://www.mobiles.co.uk/vodafone-ap...fjjc6kvq2d7hs6
Top deal of the listed ones.
Or even the £31 price plan http://www.mobiles.co.uk/vodafone-ap...-gb-white.html there, where the phone's only £15.
So... not really a loyalty incentive at all then. More of a "We offer this to everyone" type thing. We don't use a lot of minutes, so £31 a month for £15 up front would be OK.
I asked the guy to call me back on Friday so I could have a think (i.e. do some research along the lines of the above).
Now, I like the iphone, so please let's not turn this thread into a slating session. Haters gonna hate.
What do you reckon? Worth trying to squeeze something out of them, or just sod it and go for the £31 package?
